This year during Science Week the astronomers of the Sydney Institute for Astronomy have specifically set aside the time to bring our exciting science into the community. If your organisation is fascinated by space, intrigued by the universe or dazzled by the solar system — why not ask for an astronomer?

An in-person or virtual visit from a Sydney-based astronomer can be arranged to complement your Science Week activities.

Each of our astronomers has a range of different experiences and skills to bring into a science session. We can facilitate or provide activities, talks, Q+A sessions and usually tailor experiences to the needs of our audience.

You can choose to promote the 2024 science week theme ‘Species Survival‘ or raise any astronomy topic you like. If you are just generally interested in astronomy or even the practical reality of astronomy as a career, that’s fine too!
